“Turkey In The Straw”, “Angelina Baker”, and “Squirrel Heads and Gravy”, performed by Will Manahan (dulcimer) performs with his Uncle Dave Haas (guitar) at the Ohio Valley Gathering, held February 26-28, 2010 in Lexington, KY. Will played is front of 400 folks, received a standing ovation, and was asked to play an additional song during his performance. Will recently turned 8 years old and has been playing the mountain dulcimer for two years. He loves the dulcimer, music, reading, Star Wars, and watching basketball with his Dad, Paul. The Ohio Valley Gathering is an annual weekend music festival hosted by the Louisville Dulcimer Society.
"How Great Thou Art", "It Is Well With My Soul", and "All Through The Night", a medley of hymns, performed on mountain dulcimer by Dave Haas at the Yellowbanks Dulcimer Festival held June 5-6, 2009 in Owensboro, KY. A special calmness filled the room when the audience began humming the hymns! I learned the last two songs from Bob Webb who introduced me to playing arpeggios on the dulcimer. Thanks Bob!!!
